The short version

MSF Bench is free, run by one person, and not affiliated with Scopely or Marvel.
Everything it tells you is an opinion derived from game data. It can be wrong.
Be honest when you rate things. Don't try to skew the community scores.
You keep ownership of your ratings; you let us show them as part of an average.
You can leave whenever you like and take your data with you.

01What this is

MSF Bench is a free planning tool for the game MARVEL Strike Force, operated by Charlay Consulting Inc. By using it you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Scopely, Marvel, or The Walt Disney Company. MARVEL Strike Force and all character names and imagery belong to their respective owners. Game data is used under Scopely's public API Terms of Use.

02It's advice, not fact

Build orders, rankings, readiness bars and community scores are opinions produced by a scoring model from game data plus what players have told us. They can be wrong, out of date, or simply not right for how you play.

The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. Game data from Scopely is likewise provided as is. We are not liable for resources you spend, events you miss, or decisions you make on the strength of anything here. It's a game, and this is a hobby project trying to help.

03Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
One account per person. Don't create extras to weight the community ratings.
We will never ask for your Scopely password, and you should never give it to anyone claiming to be us. Connecting your game account happens through Scopely's own authorisation screen.
You can disconnect your game account or delete your account at any time from Settings.

04Ratings and fair use

Community scores only work if people rate honestly. So:

Rate what you actually have an opinion about. Skipping is always fine.
Don't use multiple accounts, scripts, or coordinated voting to move a score.
Don't scrape the site, hammer it with automated requests, or try to break it.

Ratings are weighted by whether you own and have developed the character or squad, which is our main defence against a score being skewed by people who haven't played it. We may discount or remove ratings that look manipulated, and suspend accounts that do it repeatedly.

Who owns what you contribute

You keep ownership of your ratings. By submitting them you give us permission to store them and display them as part of an aggregate score, without attributing them to you. We don't publish individual ratings, sell them, or pass them to anyone else. If you delete your account we unlink your ratings from you; ask and we'll remove them entirely.

05What it costs

Nothing. Every feature is available to everyone. There are no paid tiers, no adverts, and nothing is gated.

If donations are offered they are voluntary contributions toward hosting costs, they buy no features or advantages, and they are not refundable. Nothing you can do with the site depends on having given anything.

06Availability

This runs on a hobbyist's budget and depends on Scopely's API, which they may change, throttle, or discontinue at any time. Features may break or disappear. If Scopely ends our access we will delete their data, which will take parts of the site with it.

We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and we may stop running the service entirely. If we shut down we'll give notice and a way to export your data first.

07Privacy

What we collect and what we never touch is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

08Changes

We'll update the date above when these terms change, and say so on the site if the change actually affects you. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept the new version.
